Ready to suit up as a Lead Security Specialist
The Security Specialist is a senior security professional who provides leadership and guidance on corporate security measures across their regional office(s).
This role focuses on incident response, investigations, OHS standards implementation and maintenance, while maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, developing processes, and ensuring the timely communication of incidents.
The Security Specialist acts as a trusted advisor for safety programs and ensures alignment with global security policies.

Responsibilities For Lead Security Specialist
Respond to and manage security incidents, including investigations and reporting.
Support corporate security programs, including access control, visitor management, and emergency preparedness.
Implement and uphold OHS standards; conduct audits and corrective actions.
Communicate disruptions promptly to Corporate Security.
Coordinate with Corporate Security team on information that may be required for Everbridge; guide occupants during activations.
Assist in developing and maintaining emergency plans and procedures.
Assist in developing and maintaining Corporate Security Standard Operating Procedures.
Provide executive-level support with discretion and professionalism.
Maintain reporting and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Conducting risk assessments for upcoming local events: Identifying potential security risks and vulnerabilities through thorough assessments; providing onsite support as required.
Maintaining security policies and protocols within local offices.
Incident response:
Investigating security breaches, analyzing vulnerabilities, and recommending corrective actions.
Collaborating and working closely with key internal business partners.
Understand site critical processes, Muster Stations, Shelter-in-Place areas; execute checklists when triggers occur.
Post-incident documentation: capture timelines, photos (as allowed), witness notes; support root-cause and corrective-action tracking.
Qualifications For Lead Security Specialist
Valid BC Security License
Eligible to work in Canada
Valid First Aid certificate
Experience in corporate security leadership or similar role.
Strong knowledge of OHS standards and business continuity frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for executive interaction.
Certifications:
First Aid/CPR/AED, security licensing, OSHA/ISO familiarity preferred.
Knowledge in physical security controls such as access control, CCTV and intrusion systems.
Ability to manage competing deadlines.
Ability to manage investigations and maintain confidentiality.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Strong customer service has to be at the forefront and building rapport with employees while also providing strong safety and security.
