Required Skills: As a Data Engineering Leader for Analytics, you will be responsible for: • Mission and Strategy: Steer the vision for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing across a product vertical and implement actionable plans. • Team Building: Recruit, nurture, and expand a high-performing BI and Data Warehousing team. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Forge strategic relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to meet data needs effectively. • Data Warehouse Management: Oversee data warehouse initiatives ensuring they align with product vertical objectives. • Data Model and Pipeline Development: Spearhead the design, development, and deployment of new data models and production pipelines. • Data Quality Assurance: Commit to high data quality standards across the product vertical and its business areas. • Dashboard and Visualization Delivery: Supervise the production of meaningful dashboards and data visualizations. • Service Level Agreements: Define and uphold SLAs for all data sets and processes in production. • Data Infrastructure Expertise: Demonstrate strong skills in data infrastructure and architecture, showcasing a successful track record in leading data engineering teams and managing projects. • Operational Efficiency: Create processes aimed at achieving operational efficiency including project management and system reliability. Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline. • Proven project management experience. • Solid background in data architecture. • Proficiency in SQL or comparable languages. • 9+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. • At least 2 years of experience managing managerial roles. • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of initiating and driving projects. • Experience in scaling and managing teams of 10 or more. • Development experience with one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, Java). Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include: • Experience in consumer web or mobile industries. • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other technical fields. • Familiarity with data sets, Hadoop, and data visualization tools.
