Job Title: Lead AI Agent Engineer Location: New York City, NY Onsite (5 Days a Week – No Remote) Employment Type: Full time Job Summary: We are seeking a Lead AI Agent Engineer / AI–ML Engineer to design, build, and scale next-generation AI agents that redefine customer experience across industries including finance, healthcare, and travel. In this role, you will develop autonomous, production-grade AI agents capable of handling complex customer interactions across voice and chat channels, delivering accuracy, efficiency, and reliability beyond traditional customer support models. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge language and voice models, build agent logic frameworks, and directly influence the evolution of intelligent, auditable AI systems used by real customers at scale. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven agents that operate autonomously across voice and chat platforms • Translate natural language instructions into structured, deterministic workflows using a proprietary agent logic framework • Optimize agent performance to exceed human benchmarks in response quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction • Analyze agent behavior and performance metrics to identify trends, failures, and opportunities for large-scale improvements • Experiment with and integrate the latest LLMs and voice models, tuning them for enterprise-grade reliability, latency, and multilingual support • Implement real-time observability and tracing, ensuring every agent decision can be audited, explained, and continuously improved • Collaborate closely with product, platform, and infrastructure teams to scale AI agent capabilities across multiple industries Job Requirement • Minimum 5+ years of professional software engineering experience working on production systems with real users • Strong proficiency in Python (and working knowledge of TypeScript preferred), including: • Asynchronous programming • Robust error handling • Performance optimization • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex systems using tools such as: • Profilers • Logging and monitoring platforms • Raw data and system inspection • Solid understanding of AI/ML systems, especially language or conversational AI, and how they behave in real-world environments
