Overview
Solutions Designer
Hybrid – Office
Location:
301 St. Paul St. St. Catharine’s or 222 Jarvis Ave. Toronto.
Contract
Experience and skills on upgrading applications to Cloud or SaaS environments are especially desired.
Experience implementing solutions at a government or other large organizations.
Able to analyze a large BMC Remedy implementation, identifying customizations, integrations, and other additions to the out of the box solution.
Specific technology skills desired, along with BMC Remedy skills, include working with Cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, managed Kubernetes environments such as AKS and EKS.
Additional experience and skills with Open Source and Cloud software including but not limited to:
Linux (RHEL, CentOS or similar), Harbor, Jenkins and Kubernetes would be useful. A solid understanding of ITSM processes is required and the ability to work alongside government process experts to address any concerns raised.
Experience researching and applying industry best practices to support the migration and gather the data to inform the design decisions, providing rationale for design decisions in group settings with multiple stakeholders.
Communication, negotiation, and partnership skills.
Architecture skills and Project Management skills.
Experience using communication skills to discuss issues, seek common ground between parties, lead development of solutions and user experience development requirements.
Ability to communicate visually as well as in verbal and written formats.
Strong facilitation skills to lead design discussions and negotiations, present recommendations, and advise stakeholders on web/content design and strategy.
Ability to collaborate and provide leadership and advice on digital product development.
Experience building relationships liaising with external partners and vendors to coordinate projects and share information.
