Job Description:
Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. We are building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto's subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead environmental assessments and addendums carried out under the Environmental Assessment Act.
• Manage the environmental components of design and construction phases of capital projects.
• Plan, participate, and make presentations at Metrolinx public consultation events for individual projects through all project stages.
• Coordinate environmental input to design implementation, provide guidance on permits and approvals, and lead and oversee environmental compliance monitoring programs.
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Demonstrated experience related to environmental assessment, transit/transportation planning, environmental impact assessment, stakeholder consultation and environmental compliance monitoring.
• Valid Ontario Class G driver's license to travel to various site locations, meetings, operational facilities, etc.
