Position Overview
Telcoin is a consumer finance company focused on providing customers with high quality, low cost financial services. We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer (Backend) to serve as a core contributor to the backend development of Telcoin’s existing core remittance platform and digital wallet. Our team is composed of telecom executives, startup veterans, finance professionals, all-star developers, and blockchain specialists.
Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to the backend development of Telcoin’s existing core remittance platform and digital wallet.
• Contribute to the solution’s end-to-end architecture (primarily involving Rust development).
• Interface with blockchain, UI, Android, iOS, and partner API integrations.
• Integrate external, third party financial systems and/or banks into the Telcoin platform.
Required Qualifications
• 1-2 years of production experience in Rust, C++, Go or another strongly typed language.
• Proficiency with Rust programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms preferred.
• Experience with SQL and its variation among popular databases.
• Strong ability to meet project milestones and work with teams in different time zones.
• Translating software requirements into stable, working, high-performing software.
• Writing scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
