Junior Cloud Engineer at Systems Arabia design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and services across multi-cloud environments. The Cloud Platform Engineer ensures scalable, secure, and cost-efficient operations leveraging GCP and OCI platforms. This role is critical to modernizing Bupa Arabia’s infrastructure through automation, observability, and adherence to security and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across GCP and OCI platforms.
• Ensure cloud environments are optimized for performance, reliability, and alignment with business objectives.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable application deployments.
• Implement and enforce cloud security controls, including IAM, encryption, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Monitor cloud systems using observability and monitoring tools to ensure availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent infrastructure incidents to maintain high service reliability.
• Collaborate with application development, security, and operations teams to support cloud-native solutions.
• Analyze cloud usage and costs, recommending optimization strategies to improve cost efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools, including Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPC design, routing, and security.
• Proven experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, and cost management tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; GCP or OCI certifications are preferred.
