About the position
Akkodis is seeking a Java Spring Boot Microservices Architect for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL/Dallas, TX, Richardson, TX/Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will design and optimize cloud-based AI/ML data systems while leading architecture and implementation of full ML pipelines in Azure.
Rate Range: \$45/hour to \$60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable, secure microservices using Java Spring Boot aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Lead migration projects from legacy systems to modern technology stacks, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture strategies and deliver high-performing solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure architecture consistency and compliance with security and performance requirements across all services.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance in distributed environments.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years in Java Spring Boot microservices architecture.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure microservices using Java Spring Boot.
• Proven ability to lead complex migrations from legacy systems to modern technology stacks and mentor development teams.
