Java Developer (w/ AWS, Banking – Credit card) (Onsite)
Primary Location: Midtown, New York
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Java Developer (w/ AWS, Banking – Credit card) for our premier client in Midtown, New York.
What You’ll Do / Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and support Java-based microservices supporting card installments and consumer lending capabilities
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging modern DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services for high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and production support activities
• Ensure solutions meet security, risk, compliance, and resiliency standards
• Contribute to system scalability, performance optimization, and reliability improvements
• Support Agile/Scrum delivery processes in a highly collaborative team environment
Education And Experience
• 10+ years of professional Java development experience (Java 8+).
• Strong experience building Spring / Spring Boot microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience developing REST APIs and working with JSON/XML payloads.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, etc.).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
• Experience in financial services, consumer banking, credit cards, or lending platforms.
• Exposure to Kafka or event-driven architecture.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and risk controls in regulated environments.
• Prior experience working at JPMorgan Chase or other Tier-1 banks.
