Key Responsibilities • Deliver end-to-end features, including APIs, Lambda functions, and backend services from technical specifications. • Review requirements and user stories for feasibility, scope, and risks propose practical alternatives when needed. • Investigate and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resilient fixes with appropriate testing. • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices in performance, accessibility, and security. • Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards. • Partner with Business Analysts to refine acceptance criteria and clarify requirements to ensure business value delivery. • Contribute actively to Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and provide accurate task estimates. • Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, and observability for safe, frequent deployments. Qualifications & Experience • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. • Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience, including: 4+ years in backend development. 2+ years of hands-on Node.js and AWS Lambda experience. • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript. Proven experience with AWS architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch). Familiarity with event-driven design (idempotency, DLQs, retries, backoff). Experience with caching layers (Redis). Strong understanding of OAuth/OIDC authentication flows and token management. Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.). Hands-on experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of OWASP security practices and regulated environments (audit trails, PII). Excellent system design and debugging skills. • Soft Skills: Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills. Proactive, analytical, and collaborative working style. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
