Job Description • *Position / Job Title:** Store Retail Manager • *Function:** Operations • *Reporting To (Title):** Head - Operations • *Location:** Lusaka-Zambia-Africa • *Business:** Retail Accountability | Supporting Actions Customer - Guarantee a constantly full, clean, and well-arranged shopping environment, enabling customers to purchase easily and comfortably with convenience and speed. - Commit to a quality customer service image through employees’ enthusiastic welcome and friendly service attitude. - Listen to customers to understand, analyze, and respond to their expectations to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. - Anticipate changes in customer behavior, understand the requirement of customer and get feedback. - Monitor all aspects affecting store image (appearance, language, attitude) and take corrective actions immediately. Assets - Maintain company assets in good condition to ensure uninterrupted store operations. - Ensure the safety of the environment, products, customers, employees, and infrastructure. - Strengthen the store's merchandise image and no stock shortages. Human Resources - Structure the store workforce efficiently based on objectives and benchmark data. - Provide role-specific training before employees assume responsibilities and ensure training quality. - Develop and implement training plans aligned with store priorities and identified needs. - Enhance employee motivation through effective internal communication and maintain healthy labor relations. - Delegate tasks effectively, monitor outcomes, and build trust to foster individual growth and team success. - Coach, mentor, and develop employees for internal career progression. - Maintain efficient communication with other stores and the Head Office. - Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide feedback. - Uphold and promote company policies, procedures, and decisions by example. - Comply with labor laws and internal working rules. Maintain work discipline & punctuality. Merchandise - Ensure full implementation of merchandise policy: assortment, display, pricing, quality, product information, and merchandise flow. - Optimize merchandise flow, including ordering, receiving, storage, shortage prevention, loss control, and checkout processes. - Inspire the team to drive sales through innovative and appealing product presentations. - Execute merchandise promotions and adhere to the seasonal planner. - Adjust stock levels according to sales performance and forecasts. - Ensure product safety and compliance with legal requirements (expiry dates, labeling, etc.). - Monitor competitor activities and report relevant market intelligence to management. Most important to increase the sale figure. Inventory Management - Oversee all inventory operations to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage. - Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies. - Monitor inventory turnover and coordinate with procurement to avoid overstocking or stockouts. - Ensure inventory records are properly maintained and aligned with system data. - Work closely with finance teams to align physical and system inventory. Financial - Achieve store targets and proactively address any deviations in sales, margins, or expenses. - Enforce compliance with financial procedures and accounting policies. - Prepare sales forecasts based on trends and external factors. - Ensure cash/ credit card sales managed well. - Benchmark store performance and implement improvement initiatives. Cash & Bank reconciliation daily basis. Daily sales update. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
