Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Network Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, security, and performance of network and infrastructure operations within a leading financial institution. This role offers exposure to enterprise-grade banking systems and requires a strategic approach to problem-solving and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
• Deliver technical support for daily IT operations, network maintenance, and infrastructure management to sustain optimal system performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous service availability
• Manage and configure user accounts, permissions, and access controls to uphold system integrity and security standards
• Monitor and support network operations, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, and VPN configurations, to ensure reliable connectivity and security
• Participate in a monthly standby rotation, responding effectively to urgent network matters during standby periods without shift work requirements (Note: This is a regular Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm position. No shift work required. The team only rotates standby duty monthly, and you only handle urgent matters if anything arises.)
• Provide technical inputs and collaborate with audit teams to support IT audit activities and address identified compliance gaps
• Assist with ad hoc technical tasks and projects as assigned by the Department Head, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals with hands-on operational experience
• Experience working in a banking or financial institution environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly and work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, supporting cross-functional collaboration
