The incumbent will report to the CCR Manager. His/her main task is to support and maintain the government's P25 radiocommunication network, both on network and terminal (user) equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in maintaining the availability of voice and data telecommunications networks
- Analyze and diagnose faults using remote monitoring tools.
- Create, monitor and complete trouble tickets
- Allocate resources to maintain network availability
- Communicate frequently with customers, users, subcontractors and colleagues
- Identify, analyze and make recommendations for improvements related to recurring problems
- Manage configuration of user equipment as requested
- Produce network management reports
- Participate in drafting and updating technical documentation and configurations.
Knowledge / Skills:
- DEC in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Competence in network computing and IP technology
- Knowledge of communications network types and principles
- Ability to transfer acquired knowledge to colleagues
Assets for this position:
- Experience in configuring computer and IP network equipment
- Experience in maintaining radio network equipment
- Bilingualism is an asset (French, English). Work is mainly in French
- Excellent work attendance, high availability for events or disasters
- Knowledge of Microsoft series
- Autonomous, responsible
Working conditions:
- Day, evening and night shifts, weekdays and weekends
- Availability to work on call
- Status: Full-time contract
