Summary
The intern will receive training on machine learning algorithms, implementing them, and fitting them on the datasets in our cluster computers. Overall, the position will offer great exposure to genomic data and advanced machine learning. This position is part-time at 10 hours per week and is not benefits-eligible.
Job Purpose
Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.
Job Duties
• Identifies the specific datasets and machine learning algorithms, the intern will implement the algorithms in Python/R and fit them on the datasets in our cluster computers.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
Work Authorization Requirement:
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
