As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Integration Architect-Lead to join our team. Role Summary The Integration Architect-Lead is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise-wide integration solutions. You will act as the bridge between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that disparate systems from legacy mainframes to modern cloud-native applications communicate seamlessly. This role requires a deep understanding of middleware patterns, API lifecycle management, and event-driven architectures to drive digital transformation. Core Competencies: • Enterprise Integration & API Management: Mastery of ESB, API Gateways, and Full-cycle API Management. • Microservices & Event-Driven Architecture: Designing decoupled systems using Kafka, RabbitMQ, and service meshes. • Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in architecting for Azure, AWS, and GCP. • Business Process Automation & BPM: Streamlining workflows via Software AG BPM or cloud-native automation. • Architecture Governance: Establishing standards based on TOGAF and regional compliance frameworks. • DevOps & Containerization: Leading CI/CD maturity and orchestration via Kubernetes/OpenShift. • Data Integration & ETL: Managing real-time data flows and batch processing for big data environments. Key Responsibilities: • Architecture & Design: Define and maintain the enterprise integration strategy, including the selection of patterns (Pub/Sub, Request-Response, Batch) and protocols (REST, SOAP, AMQP, gRPC). • Blueprint Development: Create detailed high-level and low-level design documents (HLD/LLD) that align with TOGAF or similar enterprise frameworks. • API Management: Lead the design and governance of secure, scalable APIs, ensuring a consistent "API-first" approach across the organization. • System Orchestration: Design complex workflows to synchronize data across core platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and banking/retail engines. • Modernization: Drive the transition from monolithic ESB architectures to microservices, containerized deployments (Docker/K8s), and cloud-native iPaaS solutions. • Security & Compliance: Implement robust security standards including OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, and data encryption to ensure compliance with regional UAE data residency laws. • High-Scale Platform Engineering (Gateway & Middleware) • Infrastructure Design & Installation: Lead the end-to-end installation and advanced configuration of enterprise integration gateways, ensuring high-performance deployments across Software AG webMethods, IBM ESB, and Apigee. • Scalability & Performance Tuning: Architect and prepare high-scale, production-grade environments utilizing clustering, load balancing, and horizontal scaling to handle millions of transactions with sub-second latency. • Environment Hardening: Implement rigorous security configurations for gateways, including SSL/TLS termination, certificate management, and DMZ positioning to meet UAE government cybersecurity standards. • Capacity Planning: Conduct rigorous stress testing and performance benchmarking to determine hardware/resource requirements for multi-node integration clusters. • Cloud, Automation & iPaaS • Hybrid Cloud Strategy: Design and deliver integration solutions that bridge on-premise legacy systems with modern iPaaS platforms (webMethods.io, Boomi, or Azure Integration Services). • Process Automation: Architect automated business processes to reduce manual touchpoints in finance, supply chain, and citizen services. • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Work with DevOps teams to automate the provisioning of integration environments. • Business Engagement & Stakeholder Management • Strategic Advisory: Act as the technical bridge between C-suite stakeholders and engineering teams. • Requirement Translation: Convert high-level business visions into actionable technical blueprints. • Consulting: Provide expert guidance on "build vs. buy" decisions and technology roadmaps. • Project Leadership & Delivery • Technical Authority: Lead the design and implementation phases of large-scale digital transformation programs. • Mentorship: Guide junior architects and developers on integration patterns and clean code standards. • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify architectural bottlenecks and security risks in the project lifecycle. Required Experience & Skills: Minimum Qualifications • Experience: 8-10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years specifically in a Lead Integration Architect or Senior Developer role. • Core Platforms: Solid, hands-on experience in at least two of the following: • Software AG webMethods: (Integration Server, Universal Messaging, Trading Networks). • IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / IBM App Connect (ACE): Experience with ESB patterns and Message Broker. • Apigee: API Gateway management, traffic shadowing, and developer portal configuration. • Messaging: Deep knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Message-Oriented Middleware (MOM) like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ. • Standards: Mastery of XML, JSON, XSLT, and WSDL. • UAE Experience: Knowledge of the UAE technology landscape, particularly government sector standards and data residency laws. Preferred Qualifications: • Additional Platforms: Familiarity with MuleSoft Anypoint, Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps), or Boomi. • Cloud Native: Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud architectures and serverless functions. • Certifications: TOGAF 9.2, Software AG Certified Professional, or Certified MuleSoft Architect. • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in BFSI (Banking), Logistics, or UAE Government sectors.
