Int. ITSM Change Manager to build and mature Change Management practices in a cloud-native, CI/CD environment with a focus on velocity, automation, and risk management
Type: Permanent/FTE
Location: Oakville ON - Hybrid (2 days a week in office - Flexible if outside of province)
We are seeking a Change Manager who can operate at the intersection of IT Service Management (ITSM) and modern software development practices. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience building or maturing Change Management practices in cloud-native, CI/CD environments - where velocity, automation, and risk management must be balanced.
This is not a legacy/ITIL-heavy role - it's for someone who can enable change in fast-paced, product-led organizations.
Description:
• Co-design and operationalize Feature Flag rollout governance across multiple product teams
• Implement risk-based change models and change automation within Jira workflows
• Collaborate with Developers and SREs to ensure change is not a blocker, but a safeguard
• Run Change Advisory Boards (CABs) or equivalent processes (TAB) tailored to modern engineering rhythms
• Continuously improve change throughput, success rate, and visibility across teams
Must Haves:
• 5+ years in Change Management roles, including experience building or maturing processes from the ground up
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, feature flag rollouts, blue/green deployments, canary releases
• Experience working in cloud-native environments, ideally GCP (also acceptable: AWS, Azure)
• Strong grasp of automation in Change Management, including integrations with tools like Jira, GitLab, ServiceNow, etc.
• Understanding of ITIL v4 and ability to adapt best practices to agile, product-led teams
• Hands-on experience with Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management, CMDB systems, and integration tools
• Able to bridge the gap between Developers, SREs, Product Managers, and Enterprise IT teams
• Clear communicator who can articulate risk, governance, and value in a way that resonates with engineering and executives alike
Nice to Have:
• Experience standing up or contributing to a CMDB implementation (even lightweight/federated)
• Experience in organizations with change conflict management or risk-based approvals
• Familiarity with change enablement via Google Chatspaces, chatops, or low-friction portals
• Experience working in a regulated or high-availability environment (e.g. fintech, SaaS, gov, etc.)
