• *MUST BE A US CITIZEN** • *NOT ELIGIBLE FOR SPONSORSHIP** • *MUST CURRENTLY BE LOCATED IN THE NYC AREA - NO RELOCATION** THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a skilled and proactive Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud services, automation, and API integrations. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and optimizing hybrid and cloud-first solutions that enhance performance, strengthen security, and drive automation across the organization. Reporting to the IT Manager, this engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that align with the organization's mission and strategic goals. Responsibilities: Cloud Strategy & Architecture: Design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability. Architect and support Azure-based application hosting, serverless compute, data services, secure storage, identity-driven access, and modern web protection solutions. Develop and execute comprehensive cloud and infrastructure strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Evaluate and adopt emerging cloud technologies to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Infrastructure & Platform Management: Manage and optimize the technology infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Azure resources. Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring frameworks to safeguard data and ensure business continuity. Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization across cloud environments. Security & Compliance: Enforce robust security and access controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-premises systems. Monitor and respond to security incidents while ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Automate compliance reporting and auditing workflows to improve visibility and governance. Automation, Scripting & Integration: Develop and maintain automation workflows using Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and PowerShell. Build and manage API integrations between Microsoft 365, Azure, and third-party applications. Streamline routine infrastructure tasks such as provisioning, access management, and compliance tracking. Collaboration & Support: Support and enhance collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Collaborate with departments to identify opportunities for automation and Azure-backed solutions that improve productivity and workflow efficiency. Project Delivery & Team Collaboration: Lead or support infrastructure, cloud, and automation projects from design through completion. Collaborate with peers and vendors to deliver solutions that align with organizational standards. Participate in ongoing learning, process improvement, and knowledge sharing to strengthen team capability. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 35+ years of hands-on experience managing infrastructure and cloud services in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. Proven experience with cross-platform migrations, including Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 and Azure. Proven success designing and supporting Azure-based application, data, and serverless solutions. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID, and Intune. Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring. Expertise in automation tools such as Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and PowerShell scripting. Experience building and managing API integrations and automating cloud operations. Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
