Description The Cybersecurity Risk Analyst will focus on developing and implementing risk assessment processes for applications, infrastructure, and vendors, both on-premises and cloud-based. This role will leverage a formalized risk assessment program to identify and manage risks associated with the use of information technology within the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to articulate risks clearly and provide remediation recommendations to enhance security posture. Skills • Proven technical knowledge of infrastructure, networks, databases, and systems • Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards, and best practices • Proficient in explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills • Excellent presentation skills (MS PowerPoint) • Data manipulation skills (MS Excel) • Strong oral and written communication skills • Excellent organizational and flexibility skills • Ability to work collaboratively and influence decision-making Responsibilities • Research technology security issues and create assessment questionnaires • Schedule and perform risk assessments, documenting control deficiencies • Collaborate with IT to discuss cybersecurity risks identified in assessments • Provide remediation recommendations for identified control gaps • Ensure risks are articulated for both business and technology audiences • Evaluate management responses to remediation plans • Create assessment reports and dashboards for IT stakeholders • Document risk issues in the designated risk register • Assist with policy exceptions and risk acceptance processes • Participate in the improvement of risk assessment processes Qualifications • 5+ years of risk assessment experience (application, infrastructure, vendor risk management) • Financial Services Industry experience preferred but not mandatory • Proficiency with Information Risk Management best practices • Technical knowledge in cybersecurity issues and information technology Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree preferred • CISSP/CISM/CRISC/CCSP certification preferred Education Requirements Credential Category • Bachelor’s degree in a related field Experience Requirements • At least 5 years of relevant experience in risk assessment • Proven experience in a collaborative and consensus-building environment Why work in Jersey City, NJ Jersey City offers a vibrant urban environment with a rich cultural scene, excellent dining options, and beautiful waterfront views.
