In this role, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and upkeep of operational technology (OT) network infrastructures for our clients. Your expertise will be critical to the reliability, security, and performance of our OT systems. Collaborating closely with Jacobs' Industrial Control Systems (ICS) teams, you will develop communication networks optimized for dependable automation and enhanced business efficiency. Your duties will include crafting scalable and robust network infrastructures in both greenfield and brownfield settings. Leveraging your knowledge of networking, firewalls, Windows environments, and TCP/IP protocols, you will engineer secure networks of varying complexities while addressing interoperability challenges and bolstering our capabilities through strategic hardware acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain OT network infrastructure, including selecting and configuring network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and industrial protocols.
• Ensure robust network security while troubleshooting performance issues to resolve challenges and minimize downtime.
• Design, install, and maintain networking and infrastructure for control systems, ensuring adherence to company standards and collaborating with OT Network Management.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network diagrams outlining manufacturing infrastructure, including network, server, cabling, rack levels, and logical architecture, along with procedures for supporting current and future projects.
• Procure equipment based on project specifications.
• Travel to project sites to support ICS networks, managing converged platforms, virtualization technologies, security platforms, and various OT/IoT technologies.
• Review network architectures to ensure compliance with best practices, providing recommendations to align with relevant cybersecurity frameworks for industrial controls.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience with networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, and switching).
• 5+ years of engineering experience in OT environments, industrial control systems (DCS/PLC), or SCADA.
• Proficient in firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless communication technologies.
• Experience with servers, virtualization platforms, Active Directory, DNS, and Domain Controllers.
• Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE-4, JNCIA, or equivalent network certification.
• Familiarity with IEC-62443, NIST 800-53 and 800-82, or other industrial cybersecurity standards is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture.
Preferred:
• Experience with IIoT and edge computing.
Travel Requirements:
• Expect 15-20% travel to client sites.
