Job Title: Senior Principal Systems Engineer Cyber Engineer At Raytheon, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal System Security Engineer (SSE) – P5 to join our dynamic System Security Engineering team. This role will lead the development of security solutions and be responsible for leading and executing the security efforts for secure system products. Activities will consist of security subsystem specifications, security subsystem architecture, interface descriptions, RMF assessment and authorization, and vulnerability assessments. This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Marlborough, MA. • Lead a team of System Security Engineers (SSE) to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer systems. • Perform task lead duties (e.g., task planning, product owner, cost account manager). • Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans. • Staff the team in partnership with functional leadership in accordance with skill needs and budgets and grow skillsets via Communities of Practice or other forums. • Work across a multidisciplined organization. • Plan and guide execution plans across a team. • Lead the development of bids and proposals in alignment with the IPT. • Earned Value Management (EVM) in partnership with respective Control Account Managers. • Interact with the customer to define cybersecurity requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness. • Provide leadership in support of administrative tasking such as system documentation, account management, schedule coordination, test event plans. • Support the development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents and controls validation testing for Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditations. • Support the development of bids and proposals. Qualifications: • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior relevant experience. • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. • Experience in the fields of computer technology, cybersecurity, Anti Tamper, or other systems security engineering fields. • Experience in technical leadership. • Experience with System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies, NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF). Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience with the SPY6 System and/or Missile Defense programs. • Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of radar design and analysis, and systems engineering development. • Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics. • Estimate At Complete and Basis Of Estimate development experience required. • Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staffing planning. • Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews. • Knowledge of and ability to work within the Agile Scrum development practices. • Proven experience with current DoD programs cyber scope with specific experience in large, complex systems. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements. • Experience generating Security (anti-Tamper and/or Program Protection and/or Cyber Security) requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies. • Project management experience, preferably using an Agile framework. • Hands-on experience configuring and implementing cybersecurity tools. • Knowledge of information security toolsets including anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/NIDS, host-based or endpoint security solutions, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools. • Knowledge of Host Based Security System (HBSS)/Endpoint Security Services (ESS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)/Tenable Security Center, and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP). • Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO systems. • Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and Experience implementing DoD and Federal IA Certification and Accreditation Processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
