• Design and Engineering: Responsible for the design and engineering of communication systems for railway projects, including:
o Train-to-ground communication systems
o Radio communication systems
o Public address and passenger information systems
o CCTV and surveillance systems
o Fiber optic networks and transmission systems
o Travel information systems
o Network and Wi-Fi
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including civil, electrical, and signaling partners/contractors, to ensure seamless integration of communication systems with other railway subsystems.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical specifications, design drawings, and documentation in compliance with LTA standards and other relevant regulations.
• Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations to support project planning and decision-making.
• Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
• Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
• Implementation: Participate in site surveys, testing, training, and commissioning activities to ensure the successful implementation of communication systems.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in railway communication systems.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the design and implementation of communication systems, with a focus on railway communication projects.
