Our client in the professional services sector is seeking a Senior QA Analyst with federal clearance to work on their government client. Role includes API testing and test automation
Clearance Required: Federal Government Security Clearance (Reliability Status or higher)
Location: Markham-based (with potential client site visits)
Start Date: 6 months, extension option
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both functional and non-functional testing.
• Design and maintain automated test suites for UI and API layers.
• Contribute to the CI/CD test pipeline by integrating automation tools and maintaining scripts.
• Execute manual and automated tests; log and track defects with clear documentation.
• Participate in requirements reviews, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
• Support exploratory testing and risk-based test approaches.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices and documentation standards.
Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in QA, with a minimum of 5 years in automation testing.
• Proficient in test automation using Selenium (preferably with Python, Java, or C#).
• Strong experience in API testing (REST/SOAP), JSON/XML, and service validation.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and SQL/database querying.
• Exposure to version control (Git), defect tracking (JIRA), and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must hold Federal Government Security Clearance (Reliability Status or higher).
