Job Description: Vice President, Associate General Counsel - Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Overview Join our dynamic Asset Management Legal Team as a Vice President, Associate General Counsel specializing in cryptocurrency and blockchain innovations. This role offers the chance to be at the forefront of asset management products and services involving digital assets, including cryptocurrencies and tokenization. In this pivotal position, you will collaborate with the Fidelity Digital Asset Management business group, our Asset Management Legal team, and broader Fidelity Legal Group, as well as various business units. You'll play a crucial role in structuring and developing groundbreaking cryptocurrency and blockchain-enabled products and ideas that support investment strategies, operations, and client services for proprietary and employee accounts. Your Expertise and Skills • J.D. required; active member in good standing with relevant State Bar Associations. • 7-10 years of relevant legal experience, including both law firm and in-house roles. • Deep understanding of U.S. federal securities laws and regulations, including key acts such as the Securities Act of 1933 and the Investment Company Act. • In-depth knowledge of blockchain technology applications in financial services, covering areas such as stablecoins, trading, custody, staking, payments, and DeFi. • Experience with technology startups and new ventures is advantageous. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal issues clearly and practically. • Strong collaborative skills to influence and develop creative solutions in a dynamic environment. • Proven ability to build robust relationships within and outside the organization. • Effective management of outside counsel to provide top-notch legal services cost-effectively. The Role • Provide premier legal, regulatory, and strategic counsel for Fidelity Digital Asset Management's cryptocurrency and blockchain product offerings. • Support the growth and ongoing operations of asset management products involving digital assets and blockchain technology. • Advise on new business initiatives, monitoring evolving legal landscapes, and implementing regulatory compliance. • Evaluate emerging technologies related to digital assets and related financial service products. The base salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $285,000 USD annually, with placement based on responsibilities, geographic location, and experience. Beyond base salary, our total compensation package may include bonuses and other variable compensation.
