Job Description Offensive Security Manager Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 (DOE) Location: Remote (UK-wide) Reporting to: Head of Offensive Security & DFIR A growing UK cyber practice is hiring a hands-on Offensive Security Manager to support delivery across its offensive security portfolio. The role blends technical penetration testing with leadership: roughly 50% team management and 50% hands-on testing. You will join a team of 11, working alongside two existing managers, helping deliver high-quality web, mobile, infrastructure and red team engagements while guiding and mentoring penetration testers at various levels. Key Responsibilities Leadership (50%) • Manage and mentor a small group of penetration testers • Support project delivery, quality assurance, and work allocation • Help build testing capability, processes, and internal knowledge-base • Contribute to strategic and operational improvements within the team Technical Delivery (50%) • Conduct offensive security assessments across: • Web applications • Mobile applications • Infrastructure/Network • Red team/adversary simulation • Assist in scoping and designing engagements • Contribute to tooling, methodology and research efforts • Opportunities to expand into red teaming and digital forensics/incident response Required Skills & Experience • Strong technical penetration testing background (web, mobile, infrastructure) • Experience with red team techniques and attacker-mindset approaches • Experience leading testers (formal or informal) OR strong managerial aspirations • Minimum certifications: OSCP or CRT • Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC eligibility) Desirable • CHECK qualifications (CTM/CTL) • Prior consultancy experience (NOT essential) • Experience contributing to team or capability growth Working Model • Fully remote within the UK • Occasional travel to HQ (London) – self-funded • Rare client-site travel – expensed Interview Process • Two technical interviews (one in-person) • Final round discussion Why This Role? • Balanced leadership + hands-on work • Opportunity to grow into red teaming and DFIR • Join a team with strong technical depth and a supportive leadership structure • Clear development path and investment in security capability
