About the Role
We are seeking an IT Systems Infrastructure Engineer/System Engineer to manage, maintain, and support enterprise infrastructure across servers, storage, and network environments. You will ensure smooth operations, apply security hardening practices, and support mission-critical systems in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role requires a proactive engineer who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in dynamic operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of servers, software, and network equipment throughout project implementation.
• Troubleshoot system issues by performing thorough root-cause analysis and applying preventive actions to minimize future disruptions.
• Ensure consistent system performance and availability levels in line with contractual SLAs.
• Conduct routine system checks, scheduled maintenance, and performance tuning across supported environments.
• Perform OS, system, and network device hardening while managing patching cycles and compliance requirements.
• Maintain updated technical documentation, configuration details, and operational reports.
• Support standby and after-hours operations when needed to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
Requirements
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Familiarity with enterprise hardware including servers, SAN, and NAS storage solutions.
• Good working knowledge of core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, databases, and web/application servers.
• Networking Advantage: Knowledge of VPN, firewalls, routers, and switches is beneficial.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
