• *Job Purpose**:
This position would have a regional accountability for managing security operations for Emirates NBD Group Physical Security operations in UAE and will report to Group Physical Security Operations AVP.
• *Duties and responsibilities**:
- Manage the UAE’s security operations, covering the key pillars of physical security - People and processes.
- Assist the AVP in implementing comprehensive security plans and protocols to protect the ENBD UAE’s assets, including its employees, customers, and property.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive security plans and protocols to protect the bank's assets, including its employees, customers, and property utilizing the available tools and security vendor currently deployed at ENBD’s premises in the UAE.
- Lead a team of security professionals and providing direction, guidance, and training to the team members to ensure state of security in accordance with management guidelines.
- Be a part of the reporting and escalation channel for security
- emergency, related operational incidents, or emergencies of the Emirates NBD UAE and report it to the management and ensure crisis situations and security incidents are effectively managed and communicated to bank's senior management and other stakeholder.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to the regulations and local laws related to security and risk management and ensuring that all staff members are aware/trained on the requirements
- Keep abreast of current security trends and best practices and making recommendations for improvements to the bank's physical security posture.
- Provide regular reports on security operations, related KPIs and incidents to senior management and other stakeholders based on the expectations put in place by Security Management/Council and other relevant stakeholders.
- Evaluate and ensure the dynamic aspects of the physical security operational and security controls are always working and healthy. Ensure that the physical security controls put in place (digital/physical/human) are adequate the mitigate the risk and operational challenges under the guidance of Group Physical Security Operations AVP
- Effective relationships with external partners, customers, employees, mutual aid groups and vendors, such as law enforcement and security consultants, to enhance the bank's security capabilities.
- Oversee entire security guard force and organize the same to ensure that there are adequate guard posts and patrols to cover the grounds and buildings, particularly highly sensitive area / dangerous areas making sure there is sufficient staff for 24-hour coverage. Additionally, delegating responsibilities to supervisors and maintain constant and close communication with them.
- Identify and evaluate security risks to the organization’s assets, develop risk mitigation strategies, and ensure the implementation of these strategies to enhance the security posture.
- Stay informed on the latest security technologies, assess their relevance, and oversee the implementation and integration of these technologies within the existing security infrastructure.
- Support Development of the security department's budget, optimize resource allocation, and identify cost-saving measures without compromising security effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including management, employees, and external partners, ensuring timely dissemination of security-related information.
- Ensure all security operations and protocols are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations and manage both internal and external security audits.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to foster a proactive security culture among employees and management.
- Plan and execute security measures for corporate events, assessing risks, coordinating with event planners, and ensuring the safety of attendees and assets.
- Develop executive protection strategies, including travel and residential security, to ensure the safety of organization’s executives and VIPs.
- Select and manage security vendors through a rigorous procurement process, regularly evaluate their performance against SLAs, and ensure they align with the organization's security standards and requirements.
- Design and implement an ongoing security awareness program that includes regular training sessions, simulations, and communications to keep security top-of-mind for all employees.
