Job Description
We offer an internship opportunity for a Presale Systems Engineer to assist our Systems Engineers in all aspects of their work. This includes small project assignments, gradually increasing in complexity and responsibility.
Our Communication Systems Engineers design radio communication solutions, from conceptual phases to implementation, meeting customer requirements. They consult with customers to determine needs and design the best solution. In cooperation with sales, product development, and project management, they develop technical strategies and generate proposals to customers, presenting Motorola's solution. Technical support is provided throughout the pre-sales phase of the project.
This involves coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, design of system architecture, equipment selection, proposal generation, and presentations of proposed solutions to the customer. System Engineers are then engaged in the implementation of these solutions as originally conceived.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree, preferred emphasis in Wireless, Electrical, System, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment
• Experience working with customers desirable
• Experience/ Knowledge in radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking desirable
• Experience/ Knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) desirable
• Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/ or Amateur Radio/ HAM desirable
