We are looking for a Senior Manager of Software Engineering with expertise in Full Stack development, who is eager to take on a pivotal role in our transformation initiatives. What You'll Do: • Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and guide a team of developers proficient in distributed microservices and full-stack systems to create solutions that align with regulatory standards. • Showcase your enthusiasm for new technologies by experimenting, learning, and sharing insights within the engineering community, while also participating in coding or code evaluations as needed. • Partner with digital product managers to deliver innovative, cloud-based solutions that provide impactful experiences, empowering millions of Americans toward financial wellbeing. • Utilize a variety of programming languages, such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and an array of AWS tools and services. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree • At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply) • At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) • A minimum of 4 years in a people management role Preferred Qualifications: • Master's Degree • 9+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, Python • 3+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure) • 4+ years working with open-source frameworks • 3+ years of experience in large data processing (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Glue/EMR) • 2+ years leveraging AI in development • 4+ years leading cloud engineering/devops/operational/SRE functions Capital One may consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are as follows: • McLean, VA: $225,400 - $257,200 • New York, NY: $245,900 - $280,600 Salaries may vary based on other locations and individual offer letters will specify the actual salary offered. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
