This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned engineering leader to drive the next generation of trading infrastructure at a high-performing, technology-driven trading firm. As Head of Trading Systems Engineering, you will lead a mission-critical function that powers the firm's quantitative strategies, collaborating closely with traders and researchers to deliver cutting-edge, low-latency systems. This role is based in Singapore.
### Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing front office engineering team, setting the standard for technical excellence
- Design and implement ultra-low-latency trading platforms that support a range of quantitative strategies
- Collaborate directly with traders and quantitative researchers to develop real-time solutions aligned with business objectives
- Define and drive the technology roadmap for trading systems, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance
- Establish robust engineering best practices, ensuring consistency, code quality, and testing standards
- Continuously optimize trading system performance, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks
- Oversee architectural decisions and strategic system improvements in alignment with evolving market demands
- Promote cross-functional collaboration across trading, research, and infrastructure functions
### Qualifications
• *Must-Have:**
- At least 10 years of experience developing trading platforms within high-performance financial environments
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing software engineering teams in front office or trading domains
- Strong technical proficiency in programming, with a focus on low-latency and performance-critical applications
- In-depth knowledge of market microstructure, exchange connectivity, and trading system architecture
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• *Preferred:**
- Prior experience in digital asset or cryptocurrency trading environments
- Background in algorithmic or quantitative trading system development
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and infrastructure automation
