Role Overview
We are seeking a high impact Senior IT Engineer with deep expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management EWM to drive mission critical warehouse operations and digital supply chain excellence. This role is positioned at the intersection of business process optimization, SAP landscape architecture, and technical delivery across S4 HANA environments. You will serve as a key technology enabler for operational scalability, automation, and system resilience.
Key Responsibilities
SAP EWM Functional and Technical Leadership
• Lead end to end support and continuous optimization of SAP EWM solutions in production and project environments.
• Configure and enhance inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, labor management, resource management, and RF transactions.
• Drive integration between SAP EWM and core SAP modules including MM, PM, and QM.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolution for complex warehouse and logistics incidents.
ABAP and Technical Enablement
• Design, develop, and enhance custom ABAP and ABAP OO solutions to support EWM business requirements.
• Build and optimize interfaces, enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, and reports.
• Support integration with third party systems such as conveyors, WMS, MES, and automation platforms.
S4 HANA and RF Framework
• Support SAP EWM on S4 HANA landscapes including performance optimization and system stability.
• Configure and support SAP EWM RF Framework for handheld and mobile warehouse operations.
• Drive performance tuning and transaction efficiency for high volume warehouse operations.
Stakeholder and Project Excellence
• Partner with business users to translate logistics requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Support UAT, cutover, and go live activities for EWM rollouts and enhancements.
• Produce functional specifications, technical design documents, and operational runbooks.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as a solution authority within the SAP EWM domain.
Required Skills and Experience
Core Expertise
• Very strong hands-on expertise in SAP EWM Extended Warehouse Management.
• Strong integration experience with SAP MM, PM, and QM modules.
• Solid hands-on experience in ABAP and ABAP OO development.
• Strong working knowledge of S4 HANA and SAP EWM RF Framework.
Technical and Process Capabilities
• Experience with IDocs, RFC, BAPI, and interface integration.
• Strong understanding of warehouse business processes including receiving, put away, picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
• Experience supporting high availability production environments.

Education and Certification
