POSITION OVERVIEW
The Growth Data Scientist/Analyst is a strategic role focused on leveraging advanced analytics and data science techniques to drive business growth, optimize user acquisition strategies, and enhance overall organizational performance. This position requires a dynamic professional who can transform complex data into actionable insights, support cross-functional teams with data-driven decision-making, and continuously improve analytical capabilities to maintain competitive advantage in a fast-paced technology environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analysis & Visualization
Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated interactive dashboards in Tableau to support both recurring and ad-hoc reporting requirements across various growth functions and leadership teams
Enable real-time performance tracking and deliver actionable insights through intuitive data visualization and reporting frameworks
Create executive-level reports and presentations that effectively communicate complex analytical findings to diverse stakeholders
Establish data visualization best practices and standards across the organization to ensure consistency and clarity
Advanced SQL & Database Management
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to analyze large-scale datasets, supporting critical business initiatives
Conduct in-depth analysis for user acquisition optimization, campaign performance evaluation, and customer lifecycle management to drive sustainable business growth
Develop efficient query structures and database designs to improve data retrieval performance and analytical efficiency
Maintain data quality standards and implement validation procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability
Data Operations & Engineering
Partner strategically with cross-functional teams including growth, product, data engineering, and external vendors to enhance data infrastructure
Ensure the development and maintenance of accurate, scalable, and efficient data pipelines that support evolving business requirements
Implement data governance frameworks and quality assurance processes to maintain data integrity across all systems
Collaborate on architectural decisions to optimize data storage, processing, and accessibility
Process Automation & Optimization
Streamline and automate recurring data workflows and analytical processes to enhance operational efficiency
Manage SQL automation, job scheduling, and workflow orchestration to reduce manual intervention and improve reliability
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, methodologies, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and team productivity
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance team capabilities
Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling
Develop sophisticated analytical models to inform marketing strategies, including predictive analytics and marketing mix modeling
Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive strategic growth decisions
Provide actionable insights for campaign planning, optimization, and resource allocation
Conduct A/B testing, cohort analysis, and attribution modeling to measure and improve marketing effectiveness
Strategic Collaboration & Project Management
Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to implement data-driven solutions and support end-to-end project delivery
Ensure alignment with business objectives, timelines, and success metrics throughout project lifecycles
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and analytical frameworks
Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor's degree in quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline
Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related field is preferred
Experience
Minimum 2+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, data science, or related analytical roles
Experience in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or technology industry is highly advantageous
Demonstrated track record of delivering actionable insights that drive business growth
Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments with rapidly changing priorities
Technical Skills
Database & Analytics Platforms: Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with Databricks for data processing and analysis
Data Visualization: Expert-level skills in Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations
Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation
Statistical Libraries: Experience with data science libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and similar tools
Marketing Analytics Tools: Familiarity with AppsFlyer, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and SensorTower
Version Control: Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
Domain Knowledge
Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts including user acquisition strategies (organic, non-organic, partnerships)
Knowledge of campaign management, attribution modeling, and customer lifecycle management
Understanding of growth metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators relevant to digital businesses
Familiarity with conversion funnel optimization and retention strategies
