New Contract Opportunity – Senior Data Architect/Modeller (RQ09732)
We are looking for a Senior Data Architect/Modeller to join an exciting engagement with the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement (Ontario Government).
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (3 days onsite at 222 Jarvis St. / 2 days remote)
Start Date: October 1, 2025
End Date: March 31, 2026 (extension probable)
Hours: 7.25 hours/day
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement data architecture for complex, distributed environments.
• Define conceptual, logical, and physical models and ensure data flow/distribution strategies.
• Design data marts, mappings, and transformation processes.
• Apply BI modelling methodologies (Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault).
• Implement automated data quality checks using SQL & Python.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions, training, and documentation.
• Collaborate in Agile, sprint-based environments with shared codebases (git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Bitbucket).
Must-Have Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL & Python, with hands-on Databricks and Spark SQL experience.
• Experience with multiple platforms, OS, databases, and environments.
• Strong background in data modelling, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Experience with data modelling tools (ERWIN, Visio, Power Designer).
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, and performance optimization.
Nice to Have:
• Middleware & gateways experience.
• Ontario Government EA framework knowledge.
• Background in object-oriented analysis & design.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
