Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Systems Specialist to oversee, maintain, and enhance complex IT systems across enterprise environments. In this role, you will ensure infrastructure stability, enforce security controls, and support critical operations in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will play a key part in delivering reliable, secure, and optimized systems while contributing to continuous operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the setup, deployment, and lifecycle support of hardware, operating systems, and network components for project implementation.
• Investigate and resolve system incidents by performing detailed root-cause analysis and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Ensure operational systems meet SLA commitments through timely support, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Carry out routine system checks, preventive maintenance tasks, and performance tuning on infrastructure components.
• Implement and maintain system hardening standards, including OS, server, and network device hardening; manage ongoing patching cycles.
• Maintain accurate and updated documentation, including configuration records, maintenance reports, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in standby or after-hours support when necessary to support mission-critical systems.
Requirements
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities with the ability to analyze technical issues systematically.
• Practical understanding of enterprise hardware such as servers, SAN, and NAS storage systems.
• Good knowledge of foundational IT services (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, databases, web/app servers).
• Networking Advantage: Working experience with firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters clearly.
• Proactive, resourceful, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
