The DSA will engage directly with business teams to capture workflows, define data domains, and translate requirements into logical models. Working closely with data engineers and business analysts, the DSA will ensure data is mastered, trusted, and appropriately modeled in a Databricks lakehouse for consumption in downstream systems, including DealCloud, Power Apps, and Salesforce. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role ideal for individuals who combine strong business engagement skills with technical fluency in data modeling, SQL, Python, and modern analytics platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain logical and semantic data models aligned to enterprise architecture.
• Define attributes, hierarchies, and business rules for core domains (e.g., funds, sponsors, deals, coverage).
• Work closely with CRM development teams to inform data decisions within DealCloud and Salesforce.
• Explore and validate datasets in SQL, Python, and Databricks, shaping raw data into business-ready domain tables.
• Collaborate with data engineers on ingestion, transformations, and enrichment of data for business consumption.
• Prototype transformations and pipelines in Python/Databricks and hand off production implementation to engineers.
• Present domain models and outputs to stakeholders, gather feedback, and iterate to ensure alignment.
• Serve as a trusted bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring models are accurate and usable.
Qualifications:
• 4–7 years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, solution design, or hybrid business/data roles within financial services or consulting.

• Python (data wrangling, prototyping, APIs, PySpark)
• Databricks or equivalent modern data platforms
• Deep understanding of data modeling, semantics, ontologies, and master data management (MDM).
• Familiarity with data integration patterns (ETL/ELT, APIs, third-party data sources).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts for business and technical audiences.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to balance big-picture design with hands-on prototyping.
