Founders’ Staff / Startup BizOps — Coreworks
📍 San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid) | Full-time | Equity + Competitive Pay
Coreworks is building an AI-native way to turn raw company data — spreadsheets, systems, and messy inputs — into finished outputs: models, reports, and decks that people actually use.
We believe the way teams build models, reports, and decks is about to change fundamentally — and we’re early in defining that category.
This role sits at the intersection of Founders’ Office and Startup BizOps.
Not corporate operations. Not Chief of Staff. Not internal coordination.
It’s a founder-caliber generalist role for someone who wants real ownership in building Coreworks from the inside.
You’ll work directly with the founders on the highest-leverage problems across product, GTM, strategy, and business operations — with decision-making responsibility, not just execution.
What You’ll Do
• Partner directly with the founders on company-defining initiatives
• Own end-to-end outcomes across strategy, GTM, and startup BizOps
• Help shape positioning, ICPs, pricing, and early distribution
• Drive cross-functional projects spanning product, growth, analytics, and ops
• Turn ambiguity into structured plans — and execute them independently
• Build operating foundations: dashboards, internal metrics, planning models, and narratives
• Act as a force multiplier when speed, clarity, and judgment matter most
What Success Looks Like (First 90–180 Days)
• Own and ship 2–3 high-impact initiatives that materially move the company
• Help define and launch an early GTM or customer workflow motion
• Build at least one core operating or growth dashboard used by the founders
• Take full ownership of one critical company initiative end-to-end
Who You Are
• High-agency generalist with strong business and analytical instincts
• Background in consulting, VC, startup BizOps, or as a founder
• MBA or equivalent experience — judgment > pedigree
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure from scratch
• Founder mentality: ownership, speed, accountability, and curiosity
• Clear, structured communicator
• Genuinely excited about AI products and real-world workflows
Strong Plus
• Experience in startup BizOps, Strategy, or Growth roles
• Ex-consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) with startup curiosity
• Ex-VC / growth equity wanting to build, not evaluate
• Former founder or early startup operator
• Familiarity with spreadsheet-heavy workflows (finance, ops, RevOps, research)
What This Role Is — and Isn’t
• You’ll sit in founder discussions with full context
• You’ll be trusted to make decisions independently
• This is not a scheduling, admin, or internal communications role
Why This Role at Coreworks
• Shape the company at a foundational stage
• Work close to real decisions, not theoretical analysis
• See how AI products are actually built and scaled
• Meaningful equity tied directly to impact
• Clear path to owning a major function (BizOps, Growth, Product) over time
