Adecco is currently seeking an Experienced Forklift Operator for a full-time, permanent role based in Ottawa, ON. This is an on-site position with regular hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of forklift experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to handle materials efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Transport raw materials to production workstations
• Inspect machinery and perform regular maintenance to guarantee safety
• Report any faulty equipment, rack damage, or other potential safety hazards
• Strap skids and secure bundles for safe storage and shipping
• Pick orders from inventory using purchase orders from clients
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Analyze production schedules to determine movement, deliveries, and material requirements
• Coordinate with manager, employees, other departments, and equipment manufacturers regarding loading/unloading operations
• Prepare, present, and/or approve bills of lading
• Check in and approve new shipments
• Perform quality checks and rotate stock to ensure oldest products are picked first
• Unload finished products from production lines
• Safely move different sizes of material in tight spaces and remain alert to other employees in the work zone
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of forklift experience
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow company policies and legal guidelines
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good physical condition for lifting and moving materials
• Prior experience in inventory management and material handling an asset
