Job Description:
The ETL Development Lead will be primarily responsible for developing and supporting ETL code in Informatica PowerCenter for our enterprise data warehouse.
• 7+ years of experience in a Lead development role for a data warehouse.
• 10+ years of experience in development, maintenance, and enhancements of Informatica Mappings, Workflows, and processes.
• Experience working with complex SQL for ETL development.
• Proven, hands on experience with development, maintenance, and enhancements of Informatica Mappings, Workflows, and processes.
• Develop new ETL, complex enhancements and modify existing code using Informatica PowerCenter. Work independently to develop, configure, and unit test programs from specs (source to target mappings).
• Work closely with data architects, reporting team and application team on ETL development efforts.
• Design and document ETL solutions for projects, estimate work effort and provide status of tasks.
• Coordinate development work of all Informatica ETL developers which are located offshore and onshore. Allocate work as needed to ensure high quality for their deliverables and support their development.
• Provide technical support for the administration and production support of Informatica.
• Provide level three troubleshooting, baseline, and operational support.
• Create and maintain best practices and methodologies for ETL development team.
• Prepare runbooks that describe, and support code that is developed, as well as production support.
• Identify improvements to the data warehouse environment. Work with the offshore team to implement these solutions.
• Know when to escalate issues to the right party as required.
• Working knowledge of Kimball, Inmon, Millbrook design methodology.
