• *Job Title **:Estimation & Design Engineer - ELV
• *Location** : Doha, Qatar
• *Key Responsibility : Core Responsibilities**:
- The role will be required to do the estimation, design, calculations, coordination, submittals, and other engineering related works.
- Responsible for bid administration in preparing full estimates on complex work.
- Analyze supplier quotes and provide information and data, which aids communications with suppliers achieves cost optimization.
- Gather proposals, specifications and related documents and liaise with salesperson in order to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current products.
- Must be expert in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, easeEvac, and Adobe.
- Responsible to guide the Draftsman to prepare shop drawings, calculations, material take off, coordination drawings, stock listing, and installation drawings for fabrication, and all works shall have quality outputs in a timely fashion.
- Must have efficient communications skills in doing coordination works with Clients as per project & AHJ requirements.
- Works technically sound with speed and accuracy in collaboration with other trade partners during coordination and project execution.
- Create all engineering documents like material submittals, method statements, FAT, SAT forms, O&M manuals as per project requirements.
- Execute the design works in timely fashion with strict quality control.
• *Self-Management Responsibilities**:
- Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the year.
- Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
- Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
• *Education & Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or any other equivalent major.
- **Certified in UPDA & QCDD**:
- Min 5 years or more of relevant experience in Estimation & Design of Fire Alarm system (Simplex Panel), Security system, CBS system & BMS & NFPA codes & Standards.
- Simplex products experience is preferable.
- Excellent Written and Spoken English skill is must for understanding the requirement.
