Our Retail client is seeking a Network Engineer with deep expertise in Zabbix to lead the migration of legacy network monitoring tools to a modern, supported platform. This role supports the Network Tooling Refresh initiative, focused on replacing end-of-life tools with a robust Zabbix-based solution.
You’ll be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing Zabbix to replace Cacti Monitoring and a bespoke Branch Asset Tracker, ensuring seamless integration within a Cisco network environment.
Refactor existing tools (Cacti & Branch Asset Tracker) into Zabbix
Configure SNMP-based data collection and visualisation
Update network devices to communicate with Zabbix via SNMP.
Testing & Implementation
Manage change control and deployment
Provide post-deployment support
Strong understanding of SNMP and network monitoring principles
Proven experience in a Cisco network environment
Experience with tool migration and network asset tracking
Ability to work across design, development, testing, and implementation phases
