We’re looking for an ERPNext Functional Solution Architect to own the functional architecture and governance of our ERPNext platform. You will translate business strategy and operational needs into a single, coherent, scalable ERP solution that serves as the organization’s single source of truth—across the holding company and all business units.
This role sits at the intersection of business and technology: partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, HR, Sales, Operations, and Reporting, while working closely with the ERP Developer(s) to ensure designs are implemented cleanly and aligned with best practices, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
ERP Architecture & Functional Design
• Own the end-to-end functional design of ERPNext across modules (Finance, Procurement, Inventory, HR, CRM, etc.).
• Define standardized to-be processes, replacing fragmented legacy workflows and tools.
• Ensure the solution supports:
• Strong financial and internal controls
• Audit readiness
• Regulatory compliance
• Scalability and future expansion
Business Engagement & Requirements
• Lead requirement-gathering workshops with departments and business units.
• Translate requirements into clear functional specifications, process maps, and system designs.
• Challenge and rationalize legacy practices to align with ERPNext and ERP best practices.
ERPNext Configuration & Governance
• Configure ERPNext using no-code / low-code capabilities where appropriate.
• Embed corporate governance and workflow approvals into the system design.
• Decide when standard functionality is sufficient vs. when customization is justified—ensuring sustainability and maintainability.
Project Leadership & Delivery
• Act as the functional lead for ERPNext implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
• Coordinate closely with the ERP Developer(s) to ensure functional designs are correctly delivered.
• Support data migration, UAT, cutover planning, and go-live readiness.
Change Management & Adoption
• Develop training plans, user guides, and functional documentation.
• Support change management to drive adoption and consistent usage.
• Provide Level-3 functional support post go-live and during stabilization.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (ERP, process design, IT, open-source) are a plus.
• 7+ years ERP implementation experience, including 3–5 years hands-on ERPNext experience.
• Proven experience leading full ERP lifecycle implementations (design → build → go-live → stabilization).
• Strong knowledge of ERPNext modules and functional configuration.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, segregation of duties, and governance.
• Ability to produce clear, structured functional specifications.
• Comfortable partnering with developers and reviewing technical approaches for alignment to functional intent.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
• Able to challenge requirements constructively and drive standardization.
• Process-first mindset with high ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
