Job Summary The Bridges & Ensemble Interface Developer is responsible for the development, testing, deployment, and support of healthcare system integrations using Epic Bridges and InterSystems Ensemble. This role supports the reliable exchange of clinical, operational, and financial data between Epic and third-party systems. The ideal candidate has a solid technical foundation in healthcare interfaces, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with application teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders. The client may require travel onsite as needed. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, test, and maintain interfaces using Epic Bridges and InterSystems Ensemble • Develop and support HL7 v2 interfaces between Epic and external systems • Monitor interface queues and resolve message errors and data flow issues • Collaborate with Epic analysts, vendors, and business teams to gather and validate interface requirements • Support interface activities during implementations, upgrades, go-lives, and stabilization periods • Perform unit testing, integrated testing, and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) • Maintain interface documentation, specifications, and support procedures • Ensure integrations follow organizational standards, Epic best practices, and security requirements • Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotations as needed Required Qualifications • Epic Bridges Certification • Experience working with Epic Bridges and/or InterSystems Ensemble • Strong understanding of HL7 v2 messaging and healthcare data workflows • Hands-on experience developing, testing, and supporting interfaces • Ability to troubleshoot interface errors and data discrepancies • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with InterSystems IRIS or Caché • Familiarity with additional standards such as FHIR, X12, or APIs • Experience supporting Epic implementations or large healthcare systems • Prior consulting or multi-client experience
