What this job involves: JLL is seeking an entry-level Security Hardware/Access Control Technician to join our team supporting a client facility in Anaheim, CA. In this critical role, you'll serve as the frontline expert for all security hardware systems, ensuring the safety and operational continuity of our client's property through proactive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and expert repairs. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in cutting-edge security technology while contributing directly to JLL's mission of delivering exceptional property management services. As part of our security operations team, you'll work with state-of-the-art access control systems, electrified door hardware, and electronic security devices that protect valuable assets and ensure seamless facility operations. What your day-to-day will look like: • Perform routine repairs and troubleshooting for various security devices and electronics including access control systems, electrified door hardware, and electronic key boxes • Track and manage work orders using established systems, documenting date, time, contact information, location, issues, status, and actions taken • Diagnose complex technical issues through professional questioning, on-site visits, and appropriate troubleshooting techniques using specialized test equipment • Coordinate materials, tools, test equipment and resources required for repairs while maintaining appropriate inventory of spare parts and hardware • Obtain, read, and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to determine proper repair procedures and course of action • Perform regular preventive maintenance on electronic key boxes and other security hardware to ensure optimal performance • Create and update technical documentation, procedures, and reports while immediately reporting any safety concerns that cannot be mitigated Required Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older • Valid CA Driver's License or equivalent • Strong understanding and demonstrated troubleshooting skills in electronics and electrical systems • Familiarity with general electrical and electronics safety procedures • Ability to obtain Lenel Certification within first 3 years of employment (company-provided training) • Strong technical acumen with ability to learn new hardware and software as required • Ability to work graveyard/3rd shift schedule after completion of 6-12 month onboarding period Preferred Qualifications: • Self-starter with ability to work effectively in both structured and unstructured environments • Excellent attention to detail with strong follow-through capabilities • Strong electronic communication skills for coordination with team members, managers, JLL employees, vendors, and clients • Demonstrated teamwork mentality with ability to perform collective tasks to meet deliverables and deadlines • Ability to perform under pressure and manage time effectively in fast-paced environments with competing priorities • Professional appearance and demeanor maintained at all times • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency calls as needed Location: On-site Work Shift: Standard business hours during onboarding (Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm), transitioning to graveyard/3rd shift after 6-12 months
