A services organization in Texas is looking to add a compassionate and hardworking Emergency Medicine Technician (EMT) to its Workplace Health & Safety team. As a vital resource for the site's employees, the Emergency Medicine Technician (EMT) will be responsible for providing first aid, health guidance, and safety education.
About the Opportunity:
• Shift: 10 hour day or night shift
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Setting: Occupational Health
Responsibilities:
• Deliver first aid care and refer employees to external medical providers as needed
• Support workers' compensation and return-to-work programs
• Maintain accurate records of care and submit end-of-shift reports
• Provide coaching on at-risk work behaviors and ergonomic practices
• Attend safety committee and case management meetings
• Conduct random saliva drug testing
• Maintain medical supply inventory and a clean treatment area
• Participate in CPR, First Aid, and AED certification training sessions
• Respond to on-site emergencies and provide critical care
• Flexibility to work holidays and weekends as required
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved ECC provider
• One of the following:
• Valid EMT or Paramedic Certification (State or NREMT)
• Minimum 6 months of recent U.S. military medical experience (e.g., Combat Medic, Corpsman)
• Active Athletic Trainer Certification (BOC or state equivalent)
• Willingness to obtain adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification from AHA or ARC within 3 weeks of start date
