Our client, a financial services / banking leader, is hiring for a contract EBanking Developer (Java Developer). This is a hybrid role in Toronto.
This role will support enterprise application development initiatives with Java/J2EE, Spring/Springboot, and Web Services (SOAP, JSON and RESTFul). Candidates with prior financial services or banking experience are highly preferred.
Duration: 6 Months to Start, Great Chance to Extend
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications in an enterprise environment.
• Build and support microservices and APIs to enable scalable, secure systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to application enhancements and ongoing maintenance efforts.
Requirements:
• 5 or more years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring/Springboot, Web Services (SOAP, JSON and RESTFul).
• Proven and solid hands-on experience in Microservices and API development in an enterprise environment.
• Preferred you are familiar with Agile methodologies and Cloud environments (Azure/OCP or equivalent).
• Experience working in large-scale, enterprise or banking environments.
• Strong understanding of API integration and backend development best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a contract role with distributed teams.
