Position Objectives
Lead the design and automation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure robust incident management, zero-downtime deployments, and effective disaster recovery, enabling an agile, collaborative digital platform through GitOps, advanced monitoring, and automation.
Job Description & Responsibilities
• Architect and deploy high-availability infrastructure on OCI using Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions, prioritising resilience and disaster recovery
• Manage containerised environments with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, implementing GitOps for automated deployments across Dev, Test, Staging, and Production
• Optimise CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD, incorporating canary deployments and zero-downtime strategies
• Implement monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Sentry, Zabbix, or New Relic to resolve issues proactively
• Configure and optimise databases/services (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Nginx) for performance, security, and scalability
• Champion SRE practices, including incident management, blameless postmortems, secrets management, and security integration
• Collaborate with development and architecture teams to align infrastructure with application needs, especially for Odoo (Python) or Camunda BPM platforms
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, optimising for scalability and performance in multi-cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure, VMware)
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (required); Master’s in Cloud Computing or Software Engineering (preferred)
• 8+ years of DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure experience, with proven expertise in OCI-based infrastructure design and deployment
• Deep knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Rundeck)
• Strong experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Sentry, Zabbix, New Relic) and databases/services (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Nginx, Cloudflare)
• Proven success in building CI/CD pipelines with GitOps and zero-downtime deployment
• Practical SRE experience in incident management, disaster recovery, and resilience engineering in an enterprise setting
• Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python); familiarity with Odoo, Python, or Camunda BPM is a plus
• Multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, VMware), with strong OCI expertise
• Certifications in Oracle Cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps/SRE (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to complex technical challenges
• Excellent English communication; Arabic proficiency is a plus
• Collaborative, approachable, and able to convey complex technical concepts clearly
