About The Role
As a modeling lead for the AI lab, you will be responsible for defining the technical roadmap for the team and supporting the modeling needs across the organization. You’ll be expected to define and establish best practices to manage the model life cycle, from data acquisition to deployment, and to build the tools and platforms to facilitate building and deploying ML models on different devices with specific constraints. You’ll work closely with different teams across the organization to support their modeling needs, translating high level user needs to specific modeling requirements, creating plans and technically driving the team to execute on those.
What You Might Do
Help define the technical strategy of the AI lab with the goal of supporting HP ambitious AI roadmap. Lead the definition of processes and standards to ensure that the teams are building high quality and safe models. Designs and develops platform / tooling to support the model lifecycle and encourages the use of best practices. Adopts state-of-the-art Gen AI modeling and evaluation techniques. Executes strategic engineering proof of concepts in the Gen AI space. Partner closely with key stakeholders across functions in including product and design leads and help define the overall AI strategy. Mentors more junior team members Bring state-of-the-art AI models and techniques to support to user needs and to create new HW and SW categories.
Essential Qualifications
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. Masters or PhD in AI or related area will be highly valued. Typically has 12+ years of work experience on AI modeling or applied ML. Training and fine-tuning of LLMs / LMMs Data acquisition and preprocessing Model lifecycle management Software development Programming languages (e.g, Python, C++, Java)
Salary Range: $200,000 - $340,000
Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)
The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
