Role Overview
Role Title: Director, Paid Social
Function: Marketing
Seniority Level: Director
Employment Type: Full time
We have built a market-leading global platform connecting millions of travelers to experiences worldwide. But we are just getting started. As we pivot from "high-growth startup" to "global industry titan," the complexity of our decisions has compounded.
The Mission
Travel is visual, and social is where the dream begins. We are looking for a visionary to lead our massive paid social engine. You won't just be tweaking bid caps on Meta; you will be pioneering "Performance Branding"—blurring the line between high-octane user acquisition and brand storytelling. You will own the strategy across Meta, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social commerce channels.
Key Responsibilities
• Diversify & Dominate: Build scalable, ROAS-positive engines on both international social media platforms and/or local social giants where relevant.
• Creative as a Lever: You understand that creative is the new targeting. Work closely with the internal and external counterparts to build a high-velocity asset production pipeline that feeds the algorithm, while strategically working towards creative pipeline automation to maximise efficiency and effectiveness
• Full-Funnel Attribution: Move beyond platform attribution. Partner with Data Science to build and refine Marketing Mix Models (MMM) and Geo-Lift experiments to validate incremental ROAS.
• Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) Architecture: Optimize catalog structures (feed sanitation, custom labels for margin/seasonality) to ensure the algorithms are bidding on the right inventory, not just the cheap inventory.
• Technical Ad Operations: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Conversions API (CAPI) and server-side tracking mitigate signal loss from ITP/iOS privacy changes.
The "Must-Haves" (SME Criteria):
• Deep experience managing 8-figure USD annual budgets across multi-region markets.
• Proven track record in performance marketing stack on various social media platforms
• Experience in a dual-sided marketplace or high-SKU eCommerce environment
The Ideal Candidate
The Background (Hard Skills & Tech Stack)
• Scale & Spend: 10+ years in performance marketing with at least 4 years managing 8-figure USD annual budgets for high-growth eCommerce, OTA, or Subscription D2C.
• Platform Mastery: You are a "Full-Stack" Social Marketer. Deep proficiency in key ads platforms like Meta Ads Manager and TikTok (Pangle/Spark Ads). Experience with Asian platforms (LINE, Kakao) is a massive plus.
• Technical Ops: Hands-on experience implementing Conversions API (CAPI), server-side tracking, and Dynamic Product Ad (DPA) catalog architecture. You know how to sanitize a feed to "feed" the algorithm.
• Data Literacy: Advanced SQL skills (BigQuery/Snowflake). You don’t wait for BI; you pull your own data to analyze cohort retention and LTV.
• Measurement: Proven track record of moving beyond ROAS to Incrementality Testing (Geo-Lift/Conversion Lift) to prove true business value.
The DNA (Mindset & Culture)
• Creative Agility: You understand that "Creative is the new Targeting." You can bridge the gap between data and design, leading high-velocity creative testing frameworks.
• Resilience (Grit): You thrive in a high paced environment where things are constantly evolving and how you adapt to these and excel is key to your success. We don’t see challenges. We see opportunities
• Speed over Perfection: You prefer launching a test today over perfecting the strategy for next week. You move at the speed of social trends.
Why Join Us?
• The Playground: You will manage one of the largest and most complex travel ad accounts in the world. The data volume here is a strategist's dream.
• Performance Branding: We aren't just chasing installs; we are building a brand. You will define how Klook shows up on the screens of millions of travelers.
• Global Impact: Your campaigns will directly inspire people to leave their homes and experience the world. You are selling memories, not widgets
