About the Business

This newly established DeFi trading vertical sits within a leading fintech unicorn with multiple successful businesses across the broader fintech ecosystem. While benefiting from group-level backing, the DeFi business operates with significant autonomy, a global mandate, and an entrepreneurial culture. The business will initially be headquartered and operationally launched from Singapore. Relocation for stellar candidates can be discussed.
The Opportunity
This is a newly created, foundational role reporting directly to the CEO of the DeFi business unit. As the DEX Product Design Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping the product vision, user experience, and interface design of a decentralized trading platform from day one.
You will begin as a senior individual contributor, owning end-to-end product design, with the opportunity to help build and mentor a small local and regional design team over time, in close partnership with the CEO and broader product and engineering leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Product & UIUX Leadership
• Own the end-to-end design of the DEX product, including user journeys, interaction design, UI systems, and visual language
• Define and evolve the product design vision to deliver intuitive, secure, and accessible DeFi trading experiences for retail users
• Translate complex DeFi concepts (AMMs, liquidity pools, swaps, bridges, staking, gas fees) into clear and usable interfaces
Collaboration & Execution
• Partner closely with the CEO, product managers, engineers, and compliance stakeholders to align design with business and regulatory requirements
• Work hands-on with engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation of designs
• Contribute to product discovery, user research, usability testing, and rapid prototyping
Foundation Building
• Establish design principles, workflows, and standards suitable for a high-growth DeFi product
• Support the future hiring and development of a small design team as the business scales
• Help shape the overall product culture within a newly formed business unit
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or interaction design, with significant ownership of consumer-facing digital products
• Prior experience designing DEX trading products.
• Strong understanding of DeFi mechanics and on-chain user flows
• Proven ability to design complex systems while maintaining simplicity and usability
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design ownership
• Experience working closely with engineers in fast-moving, product-led environments
