Position: DevOps Specialist (Platform & Database Focus)
Role Overview
The Dev Ops Specialist will design and implement automated deployment pipelines, configure cloud environments, and support database and platform operations required for Workflow Services. The role will implement infrastructure-as-code, monitoring and observability tooling, and backup/restore processes to ensure operational reliability, security, and compliance for SDG-facing production deployments. The Dev Ops Specialist will work closely with developers, product teams, data teams, and platform stakeholders to support secure, scalable, and observable enterprise environments.
Demonstrated Experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the past 5 years in Dev Ops engineering or platform operations.
• Experience implementing CI/CD automation using modern tooling (e.g., Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops).
• Experience working with cloud compute platforms (e.g., Open Shift, Kubernetes, Docker, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS environments).
• Experience configuring and managing database systems such as Crunchy
DB, Patroni, and Postgre
SQL.
• Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Bicep).
• Experience incorporating application observability tooling including Grafana, Prometheus, and Sysdig.
• Experience applying Dev Sec Ops practices to support application maintenance and operation.
• Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, Shell scripting).
• Understanding of software development lifecycle principles and automated testing integration.
Preferred Experience
Preference may be given to candidates with:
• Experience supporting mission-critical government or regulated enterprise platforms.
• Experience coordinating Dev Ops across interdependent platforms or common components.
