Location: Hybrid (2-3 days on-site) Type: Full-Time Company: MySeat About the Role We are hiring a DevOps Engineer & Solutions Engineer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience to help us strengthen our AWS infrastructure, improve delivery automation, and support engineering teams with deployments and production operations. We currently use GitHub + AWS, and we're planning a migration to Amazon EKS (Kubernetes)—so this role is a great fit for someone excited to grow into Kubernetes/EKS ownership over time. This is a hybrid role, 2–3 days per week on-site in Montreal, with the remaining days remote. Responsibilities AWS & Infrastructure • Support and maintain AWS services (e.g., IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch). • Help implement security best practices: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, secure networking. • Assist with monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response. CI/CD & Release Engineering • Build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub (primarily GitHub Actions). • Automate build/test/deploy workflows for dev/staging/production environments. • Implement safe deployment practices (rollback strategy, versioning, environment separation). • Experience with Mobile app release process (build/release pipelines, mobile CI/CD, store deployments). Engineering Support • Work with developers to troubleshoot environment, build, and deployment issues. • Assist with production debugging and root-cause analysis. • Document SOPs, runbooks, and internal platform guidelines. Internal & External Technical Support • Provide external support by answering customer technical questions (e.g., integrations, API usage, setup/configuration, environment issues). • Partner with the Sales/Success team to support demos/onboarding, guide product walkthroughs, and turn customer needs into clear requirements for engineering. • Create/maintain knowledge base content: FAQs, troubleshooting guides, onboarding documentation, and runbooks. Required Qualifications • 1–2 years experience in DevOps / Cloud / SRE / Platform Engineering (or similar). • Working knowledge of AWS core services (IAM, networking basics, compute, monitoring). • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions, but any CI/CD is fine). • Strong scripting/automation skills in Python (Bash is a plus). • Familiarity with Linux fundamentals and basic networking concepts. • Good communication skills and comfort working across teams. Nice-to-Have • Any Kubernetes exposure (local clusters, minikube, kind, or production). • EKS knowledge or interest in learning EKS quickly. • API development experience (REST, auth, rate limiting, versioning). • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation. • Flutter experience (especially around mobile build/release or CI workflows). • Docker/container optimization and best practices. What Success Looks Like in This Role • Self-starter mindset and willingness to learn fast. • Ownership, attention to detail, and a bias toward automation. • CI/CD pipelines become faster, more reliable, and easier to maintain. • Improved visibility into production systems (monitoring + alerts + logs). • Quick, reliable support for deployment and production issues.
